REVIEW: Professor Gargoyle by Charles Gilman

PUBLISHER:
Professor Gargoyle is the first in a series titled Lovecraft Middle School.
Robert Arthur is the star of the series. Robert has recently been transferred to Lovecraft and finds his first day filled with uncertainty and loneliness despite
being at a high tech school with gifted teachers and amenities.
Lovecraft also has Glenn Torkells the bully from Robert's last school, There are also some strange events happening at school: Rats in lockers, missing students, ancient spell books and creepy teachers. As Robert unravels the mysteries of the school he also finds an unexpected ally in a young girl named Karina and shockingly his bully Glenn.
This was a quick fun all ages read. I liked the way the author handeled the topic of bullying and the unexpected friendship between Glenn and Arthur ( fighting monsters together can lead to unexpected bonding).
There are lots of thrilling bits and a great foundation for future books.
