Challenge Three

Favorite Holiday Recipe

I love Gingersnaps ! Here is an easy recipe:
3/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup safflower oil
3TBS finely grated fresh ginger root
21/2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp of salt
Preheat oven to 350F.
Generously oil two baking sheets
put maple syrup, molasses, oil in a blender and blend until smooth.
Add ginger, and pulse until mixed
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt until thoroughly mixed.
Add wet ingredients, and combine, using as few strokes as possible so you do not over mix the dough. It will be moist.
Drop by level Tbs 1 inch apart on baking  sheets.
Bake until the edges of the cookies are firm, 12-15 mins. Do not over bake.
let cookies coo for 2 minutes on sheets than transfer to  a wire rack to cool

Challenge Two

Holiday Traditions
Obsession with books wants to know about our Holiday Traditions
One of my family traditions is to put up our decorations the day after Thanksgiving. With the holiday season being so rushed I like having my decorations up early because it I really get to enjoy them.
I don't do a lot of Black Friday shopping but I always visit Cost Plus. They traditionally give away a free ornament every Black Friday and I’ve been collecting them for years. :)

Challenge One

Christmas Truffles Writing Challenge
Kitty’s Christmas
On the night before Christmas and all I could see was my Kitty’s continued love affair with the tree! I’d learned over the years to surrender each day, as he obsessed over the ornaments, he only wanted to play!
So I began to design the tree with kitty in mind, precious glass ornaments go way up top, all the plastic ones hung low so he could grab them with his paws: bop, bop, BOP!
His stocking was hung where he could sit and watch each day, just far enough from his reach that the presents wouldn't go astray. He has his own holiday traditions that begin every year, from the the moment the tree goes up till the first day of the new year :)

Truffles and I love your story!!! I actually tie my tree each year to the baseboard to prevent it from falling and I have a feeling this year with Miss Truffles it's going to be a necessity LOL! Thank you so much for participating in our Challenge :)
