Naked Paddock succeeded for me in some parts but not in others. The main character Coleton embodies many of the characteristics you would expect from a racer. He is passionate about his car and his standing in the racing community, he has a need for speed and a penchant for recklessness. Early in the story Coleton brakes his leg and meets a resident doctor named Camilla. These two become involved and Camilla gains insight into the world of racing, all its joys and heartaches.

Ducote is very good at describing the Racing world but I failed to connect with the two characters relationship. I couldn't really see what drew these two together, and they didn't have much sizzle in their partnership. It was interesting learning about the different circuit races and reading about the various locations. Some promise but overall not a series I would continue with,
