Comixology’s sales are such a joy! Somehow in my reading life I missed the four issues that make up this graphic novel. This story has a bit of a What If? feel to it. Like what if the Punishers story happened in Space? There is a wonderful Science Fiction pulp epic feel to this story by  Frank Tieri and Mark Texeira. Its also a visual epic! Giant creatures shaped like space ships, The Punisher in a jet pack space suit with the memorable skull emblazoned upon it, and Frank Castle wielding a laser sword (Punisher Sith !)

 

This story is also an amazing slant on some of Marvels classic characters like the Hulk, The Brood and the Avengers. The story revolves around the Punishers mission of vengeance . Frank is after the six capos of the Six Fingered Hand, the criminal network responsible for the murder of Frank’s wife and daughter. The art on this book is the star, I love that painted look of the book and the blood spattered action and dark humor.

As the story progresses Frank takes down one Capo at a time all leading him closer the the one who gave the order that destroyed his life. Frank’s quest will lead to revelations and forces that may destroy the entire universe and the Punisher doesn’t give a damn!

A wonderful read ! Definitely worth checking out!
