I’m such a fan of these books! Every part of them ! From the stunning covers to the interior illustrations reminiscent of a stage production: AT-AT’s with actors inside being pulled on wheeled carts, The Millennium  Falcon on a stick moving through and asteroid field also on sticks. These little touches add to the overall spirit and intention of the book.
I was really excited to see the dialogue between Han & Leia (and the famous I love you scene), and Yoda. Ian didn't disappoint me at all, though Han loses a bit of his swagger in the Shakespearean dialogue. Luke however has plenty of oratory angst with his feelings about Leia and the battle with Darth Vader.
Ian’s decision to not change up Yoda’s dialogue style very much fit in well with the narrative and I really enjoyed the fact that he didn’t use the chorus so much( mostly due to fan response from the first book). R2 D2 of course is a little scene stealer as he gives voice to his interior thoughts through monologue.
A very solid read and a gift for Star Wars fans. I’m still longing to see some fans bring this book to life and counting the days until the third volume releases.

In honor of May the 4th, a day Star Wars fans have made a special event due to its similarity to “May The Force”, I have one Hardcover of The Empire Striketh back to give away!

The Cantina scene!

I've always liked the part on Hoth in Empire Strikes Back when Luke is attacked and captured by the Wampa. I was always fascinated by the concept of Big Foot and the Yeti so the Wampa reminded me of that, I guess. It's really hard to nail down a favorite part...really there are so many. :)

Thanks for the giveaway!
