This was a really fun read. Archie has resolved to make more diverse and “grownup” type stories and this volume really succeeds in both those goals. When The Archie’s are asked to be the opening act for the Josie & the Pussycats tour sparks fly between Archie and Valerie. Friends on both side object to the partnership and their is lots of conniving that push the pair apart. Later on however Betty & Veronica along with the Pussycats realize that the connection between the two is real and they decide to put the feelings of their friends before their own.

Still romance on the road isn’t easy. Distance can be the one thing that can truly destroy the beginning of a beautiful relationship. I loved this story because of the interracial romance and also for the positive messages it has about growing up and letting go. Such a sweet read! I’m looking forward to the next volume in the series.
