I’ll confess the first few issues of this comic were a little confusing to me. Not the themes of friendship and girl power but the more esoteric, albeit beautifully rendered 3 eyed foxes, mysterious caves and possessed male campers. So I stopped reading the book after a few issues and decided to wait for the trade.  I’m glad I did. This is a wonderful series that is wonderfully realized once the first complete volume is confused. The art is gorgeous in this collection of the first four issues of Lumberjanes, and the book balances the story and the various personalities of the girls amazingly.

This is a perfect all ages read to introduce non comic readers to all the goodness four panels can hold! I’m excited to see where the series goes from here.

Great to see you liked it! I look forward to reading it. Next readathon maybe?

Have you read Nimona? It's also by Noelle Stevenson.

Hope you are having a fun day. Happy reading from #TeamSherlock!
