Faerie Summer: Reading & Activities for a Whimsical Summer

Spring & Summer call us to nature. we feel restless in our work cubicles. We want bare feet, wet grass and picnics! For hundreds of years Fairies have been associated with Spring and Summer. In the past ten to 15 years Fairies have invaded the literary world across genres. These new fairies run the gamut of personalities. From the classic Flower Fairies by Cicely Mary Barker, to Science fiction interpretations like Cinder to Horror and even Erotica. Here are some books I recommend to get you started on the Fairy paths. A word of caution however. Stick to the road, be careful with your word and know that those who dive into the depths of Fairie stay obsessed for life!
