Review: Doctor Who The Wheel Of Ice

This was a really great read! This story stars Patrick Troughton’s  version of the Doctor along with his companions Zoe & Jamie. The three find themselves visiting a mining operation that is having serious troubles. Besides the theft of much needed supplies, there are several terminal accidents happening and the children on the wheel claim to see strange blue figures skulking in the mines.

Zoe and Jamie really steal the shop in this novel and there are some really dangerous situations for the characters that show their strength and weaknesses.A very solid Sci-Fy read with bonus bits for Who fans.

Review: Eve Brenner: Zombie Girl by A. Giacomi

I loved Eve’s narrative voice from the very first chapter. This book is a very personal look a Eve’s struggles with her urges as a zombie, along with her reflections on what human situations she won’t be able to return to.

This was quite a different take on the Zombie genre. With so much out there I didn’t know if there would be a lot of new territory for this book to cover but I was very surprised. A great read.
