Batman Beyond is one of my favorite animated shows. When DC comics started a digital comic a while ago I started reading it. It's amazing! Kyle Higgins has an amazing grasp of the world of Batman Beyond. It's clear that he is a fan of the show.
Batman Beyond is set in a futuristic Gotham. In this world Bruce Wayne has retired from crime fighting and lives like a recluse in his mansion. When Terry Mcginnis enters Bruce's world he ends up breathing a semblance of life back into him and Bruce eventually lets Teeey takeon the mantle of the Batman.
The show is on netflix so there is no excuse for not experiencing its awesomeness!
This GN takes on one of DC comics most popular story lines : Dimensional Crossovers. The Justice Lords are a version of The Justice League that took some very different choices. The committed murder and turned their world into a dictatorship.
Terry has had adventures with them before, but they have returned and this time they have a version of their own Justice League to fight.
I really loved this story. Lot's of action and doppelganger fun! It's rare that a series can so seamlessly adapt it's source material, but this series does. I can't wait to dive into the next volume.
