Mini-Review Full Cicada Moon by Marilyn Hilton

This book is a testament to Library Browsing. I was drawn to this novel because of the beautiful racially diverse model on the cover. It's so important for companies to showcase their diversity.

This is a novel in verse story of Young Mimi who has moved to Vermont because of her fathers teaching position. It's 1969 in this predominantly white community and half white/half Japanese sticks out at school and everywhere else.

But Mimi has a strong spirit, a loving family and a dream that she will fight for. This story brought me to tears in many places and joy in so many more.
