Review: Lando's Luck by Justina Ireland

This is another piece of the Flight Of The Falcon storyline.

The story begins with Bazine Netal meeting a contact in a run down cantina on the edge of wild space. Bazine is collecting information on the Millenium Falcon, and the story she collects at this cantina revolves around Lando Calrissian and L3-37.

Lando is in the midst of a profitable smuggling job that gets sidetracked by a sabbacc game of course! Then Lando rund into not one but two representatives of royalty on Hynesta. The Queen demands he take the Solstice Globe to the Empire on her behalf or face imprisonment. The young Princess Rinetta wants Lando to return the globe back to it's native planet.

The princess's offer comes complete with the threat of a blaster so Lando's choices become pretty clear. Though Lando might be able to find a way to make both ladies happy with a little help from L3 and the princess he might just end up making himself and everyone else happy as well.

This was such a fun read. I loved that the Queen and Princess were women of color and enjoyed seeing Annie Wu's illustration of them.

This is very new reader friendly and wonderfully paced. I hope to read more Star Wars content from Justina in the future.
