Today's Star Wars 58: Star Wars Character Encyclopedia

I'v wanted this book for a long time but with all the new content coming out in Star Wars I wasn't sure when to buy it. Recently I got it as a gift so now is apparently the right time to own it!
I really love Dk's Star Wars books. They do an amazing job with the illustrations and the text in these volumes. it's also very thrilling seeing the new trilogies characters mixed in with characters we know and love. A nice reference tool for fans though you will need to update to newer volumes as the galaxy expands.

Today's Star Wars 57: SWCT 4th Anniversary

This week Star Wars Card Trader is celebrating it's 4th anniversary! I have been with the app since the beginning and though it has shifted recently to more "pay to play" platform it IS welcoming to new players. Download the app and collect credits to chase sets and get rewards. I really suggest you take advantage of the padawan features of the app, you will get lots of free cards and learn how to trade effectively. Be sure to log in every day to get credits. I usually save a few days credits before chasing a set. That way when I find a set I really love I have the credits to chase it.

Trading is a big part of the game but it's very important to know your cards value before trading. Yes when it comes down to it they are digital images but you would  be surprised at how valuable they can be.

Today's Star Wars 56: Padme' Amidala : Age Of Republic 1

Padme' means a lot to a generation of women. I found her interesting, and though she never resonated with me like Leia did her strengths are undeniable. Padme' is of course linked to Anakin and the events of the prequels but this story focuses on the parts of Padme' that aren't defined by her husband but by her beliefs. Padme' is off to a planet that is trying to stay independent in the war. She wants to open a discussion that may keep the inhabitants from joining the separatists. 

Of course things don't come easy on this trip but Padme' and her handmaidens are up to the task for a little aggressive negotiations. This story has a nice blend of action and a few sweet stolen moments between Padme' and Anakin that showcase the strength of their bond. 

This issue has several variants, showcasing different outfits ( of course!), and production designs.
