Spotlight: LiveWire Ongoing Series by Valiant Comics

I just finished the 4th issue of LiveWire and I'm really impressed with how the story has unfolded. This title builds on experiences that Amanda had in the Harbinger series and the recent Secret Weapons series.

Because of her actions Amanda is now public enemy number one and people are coming for her for payback. Valiant does a great job of making books new reader friendly and this one is no exception. Even if you don't know all the details of her past you can get an emotional connection and satisfying read, I'm always up to support books with Women of Color and this one does not disappoint. 

Today's Star Wars 59: Age of Republic: Grevious

Creators: Houser, Ross, Tartaglia
This issue shows Grievous hunting down two Jedi and an encounter with  an encounter with an entity on a temple. The story doesn't add much to Grievous's mythos but it's enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the art and seeing Grievous at his brutal best.

Today's Star Wars 58: Star Wars Character Encyclopedia

I'v wanted this book for a long time but with all the new content coming out in Star Wars I wasn't sure when to buy it. Recently I got it as a gift so now is apparently the right time to own it!
I really love Dk's Star Wars books. They do an amazing job with the illustrations and the text in these volumes. it's also very thrilling seeing the new trilogies characters mixed in with characters we know and love. A nice reference tool for fans though you will need to update to newer volumes as the galaxy expands.
