John does some amazing action figure variants of Star Wars comics. I recently saw this one and ordered it just in case they sell out at Star Wars Celebration:

I requested this book from Tor because I was very interested by the idea of a story about first contact between humans and an extraterrestrial life form. I'm looking forward to learning more about the world in this story. And it's by a debut author.
