I was obsessed when the images of these new loungefly backpacks were released. And today while searching the HOT TOPIC app I saw that they were in stock and 20 percent off! I snapped up the Hoth one and hope to get the others soon.
I love that the bags come with a coin purse but i was a little disappointed the Endor one doesn't have Ewoks on it. Can't wait to get it!
SDCC had a kickoff of sorts with a special talk and signing with Raina Telgemeier on Tuesday July 17th. Record crowds showed up to here Raina give an inspiring lecture and signing. With all the excitement of the convention it's easy to forget the quality programming that the library offers for educators and local residents during SDCC. I Plan on attending more events at the library in years to come.
I didn't see Raina that night because of crowds, a great many of them children who could barely contain their excitement at meeting her. I caught up with Raina later at SDCC and got a signed copy of this sampler.
Guts continues Raina's exploration into personal stories as she shares her history with anxiety and digestive problems.
I spent a lot of time at the book booths at #SDCC and was really excited to see this book by Greg Weisman. Gaming has been the one frontier I haven't crossed into and so seeing promo cards for this book got me really excited, especially because Greg Weisman is the writer of one of my favorite animated series Gargoyles. I love the diverse characters and the premise of the novel. I've already added it to my wishlist!
