Review : Age Of Resistance Finn & Caption Phasma

I love that Finn gets his own one shot! There is still a lot we don't know about Finn but this comic succeeds in two things. First off we see more of Finn's life as an imperial officer. When he isn't training we see that Finn is mostly cleaning and clearing out infestations on Starkiller Base. Secondly we see that part of Finn that has been resistant to Imperial conditioning coming to the surface again as he defies orders to protect a nesting species.  This is a fun tale, it is hampered a bit by the lack of knowledge about Finn's past and future but I'm always here for anything Finn Related.

In this Phasma one shot we see more of her leadership style through the eyes of a young female stormtrooper who idolizes Phasma. For the trooper it is the goal of having a name is what drives her and she thinks that Phasma is going to be her mentor.
It's a dangerous thought to have because Phasma is the embodiment of the treachery and lack of care that is applied to the stormtrooper class, and this story shows the result of anyone daring to think Phasma is a mentor or a friend.

Review: Star Wars Target Vader Issue 1

I'm a Rebel girl, but i have a soft spot for the grey bad boys. The smugglers and bounty hunters even a defecting stormtrooper. 
Beilert Valance is a legends character whose stories I really enjoyed in the Legends comics. Now Valence is joining the canon universe in a six issue miniseries and her is gunning for Vader.
This story starts on Coruscant and seems to be set between A new Hope and Empire. Vader is on the trail of a group called The Hidden Hand , a criminal gang that was tolerated by the Emperor before they began selling weapons to the Rebels. 
A member of the Hand approaches Valence with a case full of credits and a job: take out Vader. Valance is more than happy to take the job.
I really loved the artistic team on this book. They are able to update the 70's aesthetic of  Valance's look from the past. I'm so excited to see this epic showdown. I'm not sure how things will turn out for Valance but I'm excited to find out!

I was obsessed when the images of these new loungefly backpacks were released. And today while searching the HOT TOPIC app I saw that they were in stock and 20 percent off! I snapped up the Hoth  one and hope to get the others soon. I love that the bags come with a coin purse but i was a little disappointed the Endor one doesn't have Ewoks on it.  Can't wait to get it!
