I had really struggled with the second book in this series. But the completest in me knew I would need to plow through to complete the series. I opted for the audio version for this book and I was very glad I did. There is a lot of heartbreak in this volume as many beloved characters have really bad things happen. I found it dragged a bit in some places but overall I really enjoyed the audio version over the book version. I think I will continue the series in audio form.

I'm not a gamer, but when I saw that one of the main characters in the new Jedi Fallen order game was a WOC I became intrigued. In this five issue mini series set several years before Order 66 we learn more about Cere, the woman who will be a mentor to the star of the game Cal Ketsis.
Mast
This first issue is all about Cere and her relationship with her mentor Master Cordova. Cere is very powerful and has a passionate nature that often leads her to misread situations.
Her master has a deft hand with Cere. He values her strength and gently leads her to use her mind as well as her strength in the force. The issue ends with the pair being sent on an important mission to Ontotho a planet that has recently joined the Republic.
The council is interested in helping open trade routes on the planet and also to examine the remains of a possible jedi temple.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this story unfolds.

My space for comics is limited but there are certain books that I find MUST be bought in physical form. Lois Lane is one of those books. Lois is a fan favorite character that is being handled by a masterful writer and artistic team.
Issue 2 shows Lois still dealing with the fallout of her much publicized kiss with Superman. Clark is deeply bothered by the grilling the press is giving her but Lois is steadfast that she can handle it and that Clark must keep his identity secret.
The rest of the issue is devoted to Lois and Montoya talking about a recent murder and how her investigation should proceed. I LOVED the banter between Lois and Renee. I could read a whole series of them just meeting at coffee shops talking about the world. Their meeting is caught abruptly short by an attack.
In issue 3 we see the aftermath of the attack of the previous issue along with a focus on Montoya encountering an old friend. I like the pace of this story. Investigations take time and life happens in between those times. An for Lois life always includes Superman. Rucka really "gets" why Lois and Clark work. He gives fans of the couple multiple sweet scenes in this issue. I might of sighed in pleasure a few times during them.
Both these issues were solid reads and have me looking forward to issue 4.
