In this second story of the series we get a story from a captive at Vader's Castle Lt. Thom Hudd. Tarkin is the focus of this story and it was really wonderful to see aspects of Tarkin from the new canon novel be showcased in this story. The story opens when Tarkin is giving a surprise inspection on an Imperial ship.
The tour is interrupted by a transport crashing into the Imperial ship and a large monstrous creature emerges and screams for Tarkin. This series gives all the creature feature feels. It also has some echoes of Peter Cushing's Frankenstein days. Another gorgeously illustrated volume with lots of action and a cameo visit from a Rebellion leader.
Really loved this issue, a perfect Halloween read.

In this second visit to Mustafar we see Vanee, Darth Vaders assistant, up to is old tricks of torture and storytelling. As this cover shows Darth Maul makes an appearance in this issue. Captain Spikewheel leaves some potential recruits to his crew on a planet full of trash. They have to spend the night for a chance to get a spot on his crew. Of course things go horrible pretty quick as spider Maul captures them and tries to get off planet with them. I really liked this issue. The art is spectacular and it has a nice reveal at the end. These books are perfect for the Halloween season.
It's time again for another 24 Hour Readathon I'm hoping to read at least 8 books hopefully lots of
creepy ones.
