Hi every one welcome to Day 5! Before you read the review take a quick hop here: I have a guest post up today about one of my favorite authors Clive Barker. Carolyn has an amazing site so hang out a while and then come back for the review aand giveaway: http://www.bookchickcity.com/ I'm a huge fan of C. E. Murphy. Her Urban Shaman series is one of my favorites. So when I herd about Heart of Stone I was really interested.Margrit is a wonderful character. It's hard to tell from the cover but she is a bi-racial character: Black, White, and possibly a little America Indian. She is also a Legal Aide attorney who lives with two fun supportive roommates. Margrit is restless though, she finds herself jogging in central park late at night. It is here that Margrit meets Alban . She is surprised to meet him in the park so late at night , something about his pale features interests her. She tries to forget about it until she hears about a murder suspect that matches Alban's description. Margrit becomes drawn into Alban's world albeit against her will at first. Alban is enchanted with Margrit he has been watching her for a long time. He is her guide into the world of the Old Races : gargoyles, selkies vampires. Margrit gets more and more drawn into this world while trying to find a killer and clear Alban's name. She also has to deal with the growing connection that is growing between them. An attraction that is dangerous and passionate. I really enjoyed this first book in the series and look forward to the other two volumes:
I have one (slightly loved ) copy of Heart Of Stone to give away!
