When I saw the Book Tree in the article 6 New Uses For A Book in:
                                     REAL SIMPLE
I knew I found a new Holiday tradition! Here is how its done:

You want to use 3-4 narrow books, I used these paperbacks

The Way Of Shadows by Brent Weeks
 Shadows Edge by Brent Weeks
 Fatal Charm by Linda Singleton

 Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs

                                                   THE TREE

I used 8 books with red, green and white covers
Robin Hood
The Winter Solstice by John Mathews
Forget me Nots book of poetry
Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince
Healing Mudras
Our Mutual friend by Charles Dickens
The Warlords Wife by Margaret Moore

Stack them on top of each other largest to smallest. I then topped mine with a strip of ribbon and a white butterfly.

You can also put fake snow around it, put a bow on top of it or any other fun additions. Its such a nice decoration for book lovers :)

Love it, love it, love it! Probably won't be able to do it this year since I just moved and all my books are in boxes, but I'm going to save the idea for next year!

Thanks for sharing!

I think this is such a cute idea! I may have to attempt it next year since it's about time to take down the tree!
