New Feature: Trade Watch:1 Witch Doctor 1 & 2

I've noticed a great many bloggers reading and reviewing Graphic Novels lately. As a comic book fan I'm really happy to see this! In the Trade Watch feature I will be spotlighting some individual comics that graphic novel fans should be on the look out for when they are collected into Trades.

One of my favorite comics at the moment is Witch Doctor. I'm a huge horror fan and the work Seifert & Ketner are doing with this series really makes my horror fan side very happy!

Witch Doctor focuses on Dr. Vincent Morrow a former practicing doctor who has become initiated in the Dark Arts. Now he is the cure for all type of beasties that go bump in the night and threaten mankind.

Amazing art, and dark humor suffuse this series as well as interesting characters and lots of gruesome bits :) This series is also great for those new to comics since each issue contains a  self contained story, though some elements may lead into the next issue.

Issue one deals with the a possessed young boy, while issue 2 shows us Seifert and Ketner's vision of the Fae and its quite nasty! There is a wonderful cinematic quality to this book that draws you in and keeps you turning the pages. Horror fans will immediately take to this crew and look forward to the future issues .

For more info on the comic visit : HERE

Look for more trade suggestions in the future. Happy Reading!

I had no idea your were such a huge horror fan. I mean, you mentioned it in our Armchair BEA interview, I'm sure, but I guess I didn't realize how much you loved it until now. I am also a huge horror fan and I just launched a horror blog! I'd like to invite you to stop by and check it out. http://castlemacabre.blogspot.com/

You know, I used to really love horror comics, but kind of got out of reading them. Witch Doctor looks like a really good series! Maybe I should pick them up again.
