Mila 2.0 is one of those YA books that have been building a buzz for quite some time. I’ve had it on my TBR list for awhile and decided to get the prequel The Fire to get a sense of the authors style. The title of this novella says it all. The reader is introduced to Mila as she awakens in her room to find her house on fire. Mila is nervous but she manages to escape the house only to discover that her parents are still in the house. As she goes back in to save them a nail biting series of events lead her to see her father crushed underneath the rubble and possibly Mila herself. There is an interesting teaser at the end that causes the reader to suspect things are not as simple as you may think.

I really enjoyed this into to the character and I’m looking forward to reading the full  novel.

This seems like it would be a bit of a mind twist
