TBR Challenge Review: A Distant Mirror by Barbara W. Tuchman

Goodreads Link

This is another Non-Fiction book I’ve been meaning to read.I’ve always been drawn to 14th Century History so this book was a joy to dive into! Barbara is a wonderful researcher. She brings the past to life through a combination of Historical fact, quotations and illustrations. This book explores the importance of castles, serf life, political upheaval in London and the plague. The plague chapters were my favorite in the book. It was such a horrible time made worse by the lack of education amongst the population about how infections can travel.

This is definitely be a book I will return to for reference in the future. Highly recommend this book to history buffs
