I received a complimentary download of this book from Netgalley in exchange for a review.

This story  has a wonderful blend of mystery and paranormal elements, with a great female lead. Larissa Renaud is surrounded by objects from the past. She and her family live and work in antique shop so she is surrounded by old often broken things. When Larissa answers a phone one day she starts a strange adventure that reveals the origin of a family curse, and finds her traveling through time.
The interesting thing about Kimberley's novel is how easily the reader takes Larissa’s experiences at face value. The skill of her narration leads readers to not think twice about cursed dolls and fireflies that facilitate time travel. Larissa herself has the personality traits that help her navigate these encounters with courage and determination.
I loved the characters and the story had a really nice resolution. A great read.
This is my 16th book for Coyer Summer Vacation
