This is the third and final journey with the Kick-Ass crew and it’s gut wrenching! Superheroes have been outlawed and Hit Girl is rotting away in jail. Add to that the Red Mist’s machination from a hospital bed and you have a whole lot of pins being set up only to be violently knocked down. Not only are law enforcement the enemy, but there are mob connections to the murder of a variety of heroes.

This is one of the most satisfying endings I’ve read to a series in a really long time. Millar delivers the action and violence you’ve come to expect from this series along wit some much need closure for Mindy and her mother. Romita’s art is off the charts good. He is a master, and gets better and better every year.

A bittersweet ending to one of my favorite series. I will miss it dearly but they are definitely going out on top!
