Mini-Review : The Man In The High Castle by Philip K Dick

It's a mere 274 pages but there is a strong emotional density to this book.  This bok is set in 1962 and is an alternate history novel. A history in which the  united States government is overturned and the former country is divided between Imperial japan and nazi Germany.

It is the characters that make this novel shine. Their desperation and often depression reflect how the new world order has affected them.

I was drawn to this book because it is a classic and I want to watch the amazon series but i feel it will take several reaadings to "get" all the depth of  the book.
