Armchair BEA Blogger Interview
One of the reasons I joined ArmchairBEA was to connect with other Bloggers. Having us interview each other was a great idea! My interview is with Katy of A Few More Pages, she can be found at http://www.fewmorepages.blogspot.com/ I enjoyed Katy's Blog and the variety of genres she reviews. Here are six questions I asked her and her responses :)
1) Who or What Inspired you to be a Blogger?
I love reading and I wanted to write about the books I'd been reading since I don't have anyone to talk to about books in my personal life. Hubby reads, but we like different genres.I'd already been keeping a family blog, then decided in Augustof last year to start up a book review blog. Then I found the Book Blogs Ning and began to discover the great community that exists among book bloggers. From then on I was hooked.
2)Name the Top 3 Mystery Books youv'e read:
The Maltese Falcon By Dashiell Hammett
A Dangerous Mourning by Anne Perry
(book 2 in her William Monk series)
It's always really hard for me to name favorite books...I sometimes liken it to choosing your favorite child(impossible!). But here are 3 that come to mind:
Fire and Fog by Dianne Day
(book 2 in her Fremont Jones series)
3) Name the top 3 Historical Fiction books you've read:
Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series is one of my favorites
The Winthrop Woman by Anya Seton
The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen
4) Who is your favorite author right now?
This is such a hard question! My answer usually jumps between two Authors Jane Austen and Norman Maclean. His nNovella A River Runs Through It , is one of my favorite reads of all time.
5)Have you ever wanted to write a book?
I've thought about it before, but I have a hard time thinking up original stories. If I ever wrote a book it would probably end up being based on someone's life or on a historical event. I think I'll stick with reading other peoples fiction for now. ;)
6) Who are some of your favorite Bloggers?
I am following over 300 blogs in my Google Reader right now and I love browsing through the updates. Here are just a few of my favorites:
Aarti at Booklust: http://www.aartichapati.blogspot.com/
Helen at Helens's Book Blog : http://www.helensbookblog.blogspot.com/
