Review: Eve & Adam by Grant & Applegate

Eve & Adam is an interesting read. Short action packed chapters introduce us to Eve a young teen hit by a Streetcar.

Waking up in the hospital Eve finds her mother, Doctor Spiker using her considerable influence to whisk Eve from the hospital and into a cushy recovery suite at Spiker Biopharmaceuticals.

There is obvious tension between Eve and her mother. Eve finds her cold and secretive. Now Eve finds herself in the heart of her mothers business world and in the care of Solo her mothers disgruntled assistant.

To keep her busy Eve's mother gives her a project. Using a computer design interface Eve is tasked to create the "perfect" boy. This project and a few crisis's involving her BFF Aislin, eve and Solo find some shocking secrets about the institute and themselves. There is also some promising romances.

The mysteries in this story kept the pages turning pretty quickly for me and the ending had some great twists.

My only complaint was that the ending seemed rushed and I really don't know what the overall theme of the book or where it's going next. There seems go be plans for a sequel though so hopefully some of these threads will be elaborated on later :)

This is the first review of this book I've come across. I can't wait to read it and it sounds really interesting and absorbing. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long for a sequel...I hate when books end with things unexplained.
