I received a complimentary download of this book in exchange for a review.
This is an action packed chapter book focusing on Superman and one of his deadliest foes Doomsday. Or rather Doomsdays. Superman has noticed a number of strange satellites orbiting Earth. He goes to investigate and sees Doomsday on a direct course to Earth. Superman stops him only to discover another Doomsday appearing behind him once again, then another and another. Superman realizes these creatures are clones and proceeds to track them to their source: a space ship manned by Queen Bloorga and her invading army.
I always enjoy the Capstone chapter books and this one was no exception. I really liked the fact that it was written by a female author. I enjoyed how Sutton gave the reader the internal monologue going on in Superman's mind. Having infinite powers comes with a responsibility to be careful in battles and Sutton really showed Superman thinking before acting and considering the lives of others. I really enjoyed the artistic content as well and the fight scenes were more exciting with the addition of sound effects. A very solid read an perfect for all ages.
