NaBloPoMo Day 16 : Thankful Reads

 

Next Week is Thanksgiving! I really like reading Holiday Themed books so here are two I recommend for the young and the young at heart!

 

The illustrations really make Arthur’s Thanksgiving shine. The cast of the book is all animals that walk and talk like humans. In this adventure Arthur is picked to be the director of the schools Thanksgiving pageant. He is quickly overwhelmed with all the demands of the cast, including their uniform decision to NOT play the turkey! So cute! Really captures the feel of  the season and has a sweet ending.

 

 

Charlie Brown is a staple of my Holiday celebrations from Halloween to Christmas. I really enjoy the animated  Thanksgiving story but this book didn't really capture everything I like about that show. It has the main themes of the show but not the fun elements from the show. Still a nice story to share with kids.
