This second book in the Nick and Tesla series continues to combine science fact with science fun, and in this volume: Robots! Nick and Tesla continue to stay with their Uncle Newt while their parents are on an extended work trip. Uncle Newt continues to be scatterbrained, and the children continue to govern themselves.
After another experiment forces the trio to leave the house for awhile Newt takes them off to the Wonder Hut which has recently been upgraded and has a new owner.
The kids are fascinated by the new store and the remote control robots the new owner has onsite. So much so the pair begin to make there own which leads to the interactive parts of the book.
However Nick & Tesla also find themselves drawn into the mystery of the series of robberies that have begun across the city of Half Moon Bay. With a little help from their friends and some clever inventions the pair are once again on the case.
The authors are really upping the action and adventure in this series and the inventions flow seamlessly into the narrative.
A fun read with some great projects for families to work on together.
