Strange Journeys: Batman: Castle of The Bat by Harris & Hampton
Elseworlds stories allowed creators to place DC comics characters in different times and situations. This is one of the strangest stories involving Batman I’ve ever read. The art is brooding and atmospheric and sets the scene for Germany in the 1820’s. In this story Bruce Wayne explores a different kind of vengeance ad the creator of a fearsome undead Bat creature. This a short self contained read that has a few thrills and some great art. Just another example of Batman’s versatility as a character.
