Review: Guardians of The Galaxy: Volume 2
With the new movie coming in August know is a great time to learn more about the Guardians of The Galaxy. In this second volume the Guardians meet a real Angel. Her name is Angela and the fact that she is in the same universe as the GOG crew means there is a very dangerous rip in time and space.
Real life mirrors fiction in the case of Angela because she was a character that originally existed in the Spawn Universe at Image Comics. Through a series of ownership changes marvel acquired the rights to the character. Angela fits in quite nicely with the crew. I especially enjoyed the relationship between Gamora and Angela, and of course every scene Rocket is in! A great read.
This volume really gives the reader some amazing space action as well as tying in with some upcoming events at Marvel .
I loved everything about this volume, especially the amazing art of Sara Pichelli. I’m really enjoying reading this series in trade format.
