Review: Les Miserable's Manga by Hugo, King & Lee
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a review.
I’ve wanted to read a manga from Udon Press every since I heard they were doing a Pride & Prejudice adaptation. So what if anything can the add to the legacy of Victor Hugo’s masterpiece ? The manga experience. This book is formatted in the traditional Japanese format Right to Left. This volume also captures the manga look for all of the characters.
As far as adaption's go the book keeps all the major events from the novel, and presents them in a highly readable manner. I really enjoyed the fantastic art though some panels were extremely wordy. This is a great way to introduce this classic story to teens. A very solid read. I’m excited to see what they do with Pride & Prejudice.
This is my 20th book for Coyer Summer Vacation
