Review: Judge Dredd Volume 2 by Swierczynski, Daniel & Lee
I’m loving what IDW is doing with this series. I especially enjoy how the story arc’s build on each other which makes it really easy to read as trade collections. Volume two is titled The Long Fall, it continues exploring the robot uprisings from volume one of the series.
This set of issues showcases how badass Judge Dredd is as he fights crime without his lawgiver, bike, or help from other judges. The art is stellar and captures the gritty feel of a megacity gone rogue. I love the dialogue and Swierczynski’s scripts, and there are four back up stories that show how the rest of the mega city is dealing with the technology blackout.
