12 Days Holiday Romance: The Sugar Cookie Sweetheart Swap by Various
This contemporary romance anthology brings three friends together for their towns annual cookie auction. As the three women leave the auction each of them have encounters that bring love into their life. Clara Parker’s story Where There’s Smoke by Donna Kauffman a chance encounter at a book store leads her into the path of a hunky Fireman from her past. Forced to write a cookie column for her employer Clara has a catastrophe right out the gate, that brings the two together once again.
My favorite story in the anthology was Kate Angell’s The Gingerbread Man. In this story Abby Denton make some anatomically correct Gingerbread Men (candy canes no less!), that lead to the handsome Lander Reynolds being snowed in at her snug little home. As Abby nurses Lander’s wounds she is torn between strong attraction and guilt as her Gingerbread Men distracted him and caused his car accident.
Sugar and Spice by Kimberly Kincaid has two chef’s vying for the first prize in a Christmas bake off. This was a sweet little story that made me very hungry for Christmas treats!
A very solid read full of Holiday Cheer!
