12 Days Animals Of The Solstice: The Mitten by Jan Brett
A classic Brett story with a winter theme and a funny premise. Young Nicki is excited for his new white mittens his grandmother has made him. She warns him to be very careful because if he drops them on the snowy grand they will be hard to find. Being an active young child Nicki of course drops a glove and one by one the woodland animals try to make it their own.
Bret’s art as usual is stunning. It was so funny watching the various animals squeeze their way into the mitten. From Rabbit’s to Owl’s the mitten expands and expands until one more animal causes it to overstretch and spill animals everywhere!
Such a fun read !
