Review: Mighty Avengers Volume 2
I really love what Al Ewing is doing with this story. Not only is their a wonderful diversity in the cast, Ewing also does a great job at strengthening the tenuous connections with the fringe members of the cast while also focusing on the core of the group Luke cage & Jessica Jones. Couple that with Valerio Schiti’s gorgeous art and you have a stellar read.
In this volume we have a guest appearance by Falcon, a look at some personal tragedy in Blue Marvel’s life and a wonderful arc by White Panther. Wonderful stories and a great series for new readers. Mighty Avengers strength is that it gives small play time to the major events in the Marvel Universe, in favor of smaller personal stories that bond the readers to the characters. One of my favorite books.
