I am utterly blown away by this novel! This is the Star Wars novel I've been longing for! Set in the time period between Episode 3 & 4 this canonical story explores the relationship between Vader and the Emporer. Though Vader is in his prime in this novel he also is still haunted by the past, especially when the two visit the planet Ryloth to quell a rebellion. There are cineamatic fight scenes, along with the internal Cat & Mouse game Vader are playing with each other as Maser & Student. There are also several fun Easter Eggs for fans of the Clone Wars tv series in this novel . Stunningly good!
