Attack On Titan Before The Fall

  

AOT Before The  Fall is a nice distraction to consume between  volumes of  the regular  Attack On Titan volumes. Set several years before the events of the regular series, These books tell the story of Kuklo who is called "Titan's Son" because he is born in the belly of a dead titan who ate his mother.

From the day of his birth Kuklo is horribly abused. Fear is a powerful thing and many use Kuklo as a tool to exact their revenge on the Titans. So much so that a rich local buys him so his son can murder him and take his titan power.

However the young daughter of the nobleman frees Kuklo and they run off together. Soon Kuklo comes to the attention of the Survey corps and learns the truth of life outside the wall.

There are some really intense scenes in this series and the reader really becomes entangled in Kuklo's pain. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes.
