Sci-Fi Month Review : Seed Seeker by Pamela Sargent
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tor Books in exchange for a review.
This is the third book in the Earthseed Series and it brings a lot of Sargent's story lines to culmination.
This series has had different narrative voices in each volume and also some really great female protagonists.
The descendants who live on the planet Home have only distant memories of the vehicle named Ship that left them there years earlier.
Now ship has returned but only a few settlers have the means to communicate with it. Now a young woman named Bian must make a journey to connect with the settlers they have lost and connect to their past together.
I really enjoy Science Fiction that provides situations that study the human condition. One generation of humans left on Home managed to develop major differences of opinion and desperate themselves.
It is interesting to see how Ship changes it's approach to it's charges as it's Artificial Intelligence begins to learn from the mistakes of the past.
A really solid read and a great series to dive into.
