Marvel Monday's : Shield Volume 1

This series takes the characters and situations from the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D television series and places them firmly in the Marvel Universe. I had high expectations for this series and they were mostly met. 

The reader gets a more in depth look at Coulson's knowledge of superheroes and how he picks the right hero for the right job based on this extensive database.

There are lots of cameos in this book: The Black Knight, Ms. Marvel, Spiderman, The Invisible Woman, Moleman and more.

The cameos fit very well the overall storylines. There is great action and a suprise reveal of the main big baddie in the later issue that long time Marvel fans will enjoy.

Except for Coulson, I really couldn't connect to the rest of the agents in comic book form. Hopefully I will connect better with the characters in future volumes.
