Review: An Italian Adventure by Gaia B Amman
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ten year old Leda finds her life changed by the entrance of Nico into her life. Leda is a young girl who loves books and has a deep curiosity with the mysteries adulthood will one day reveal to her. Leda sees Nico as a thug. He is part bully part fascination to her and through a series of events they become friends.
As Leda begins to morph into a teen she finds many things about Nico off putting and intriguing.
This story is the opening steps in the journey to adulthood Leda is about to embark on.
I could relate to the time period of this story, and though I've never been to Italy Gaia paints a lovely picture of the time period and the city.
Leda's emotions are very much in alignment with her age and experiences, and her friends add a colorful side story to the book.
