Yin Yoga is one of the most relaxing forms of practice. The purpose of Yin is to hold the poses much longer than in traditional yoga. This allows the body to relax deeply as well as giving a lot of emotional benefits.
Parts 1 & 2 of this book give readers an overview of the history of Yin and it's benefits.
The third part gives a detailed look at a series of poses and the final part teaches you how to put the poses into a sequence.
I really love this book. It's my go to resource for a quick stretch review and I have done several of the suggested sequences. The wall routine is great for lower back tightness.
A great intro to yoga. However be very careful if you've never done Yoga before.
