Review: Mr. Dickens And His Carol

I discovered this book while searching for Christmas Books on the Libby App. I listened to the audio version of this book and it had an amazing atmosphere and narrator. In this book we find Dickens facing financial ruin unless he delivers a Christmas book to his publishers. This puts Dickens into a foul mood, and even creates distance between his family during what should be the most magical time of the year. 

An unexpected encounter with a young widow and her son leads Charles to the creation of his most beloved and inspirational novels. This was a very nice listen for Dickens fans.
