Review: Far Apart,Close in Heart by Birtha & Kastelic

Children see and know more than Adults realize. When difficult things happen Adults tend to go into protective mode wit little ones. Especially if a parent is incarcerated. This book is a great way for Adults to realize the challenges kids are facing with incarcerated parents and how to start conversations that help and possibly heal wounded hearts. This book is beautifully constructed and I appreciated that they profiled families of all races and backgrounds. A difficult topic wrapped into a beautiful package.
