Official TBR Review: We Were Eight Years In Power by Ta-Nehisi Coates

Fascinating exploration of the Obama years and the aftermath from a talented observer and writer. I really enjoyed the research detail and objective opinions Coates gives. The hardest part about this book was reliving the negativity of Obama's early career, and seeing the foundations that grew into much of the intolerance and lack of communication we have now.  Coates doesn't sugar coat the information and he manages to share the information with an observational eye. 
A riveting , difficult read.
