Review: Princeless Volume 9

I have loved watching Adrienne's journey in this groundbreaking series. Princeless began with a desire from Adrienne to free her sisters like she rescued herself. Over the course of 8 volumes we have watched Adrienne meet new friends and allies and grow into a powerful woman. 
In this volume we find Adrienne coming full circle at home with her Mother. We also see  her brother Devin on a journey of his own with the elves community.
This whole volume is bringing story elements to the forefront before the final volume. My favorite parts of this volume are Adrienne with her mother. Whitley beautifully captures the quiet strength of women. Adrienne has really grown up  through this series and watching her interact with her mother as a young woman is wonderful. 
I also loved seeing Adrienne stand up to her Father and confront him on his choices for her and her sisters. We also get to see the rescue of Appalonia and an epic battle with her captor.
It's going to be bittersweet to see this series come to an end. It has been an amazing journey.
