SW Book Chat: Day 2 The Mandalorian Junior & Young Readers Books

As a book nerd one of the best parts of the saga are tie in novels. The Mandalorian television show has joined the other saga films with a publishing platform that includes The art of The Mandalorian season 1, Poster Books, A Little Golden Book And these three books aimed at younger readers. I received complementary copies of the three books above  from Disney/ Lucasfilm Press.

The junior novel is an adaption of Season one of The Mandalorian written by Joe Schreiber. Joe is a fan favorite SW Legends novels like Deathtroopers and  Darth Maul lockdown.

Junior novels are aimed towards middle grade readers, but I found this one very enjoyable. So much of The Mandalorian is visual storytelling. It pulls on themes from Westerns and Samurai films, a novel has to find a way to wrap that into language.
Schreiber achieves this with tight narration with a focus on the action scenes, and a few insights into Mando's thoughts.

The Storybook and World of reading books are fun illustrated books exploring the events of season one of the series. A clan of two is in storybook format as it replays the arc of the first season.

The World of Reading book  is a character guide focusing on the friends and allies  That Mando and The Child meet in season one. Both books have sticker sets .

These are great books for young readers and the Clan of Two book is perfect bedtime reading.
